Support » Plugins and Hacks » NextGEN Gallery - WordPress Gallery Plugin » NextGen thumbnails not responsive

  • I’m having trouble getting the thumbmails generated by my NextGen plugin to display in a responsive manner. No matter what I do, my galleries display in 6 columns. Also, when I resize the browser window or view it on a mobile device, the thumbnails are squeezed together and the width is reduced (but not the height). I would greatly appreciate any help I can get with this. I’d love the thumbnails to retain their aspect ratio (100×75) and I’d also like to get the columns to reduce based on the width of the browser. I’m using the free “2011” theme. Here is a link to one of the galleries: http://bit.ly/16aadwU

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give me!!!!

  • How did you fix this problem?? I am having the same. I went to your provided link and it seems to be working now

I tried a bunch of things to get it to work. I changed the number of images in a column, messed with the widths, messed with other CSS things I found in forums, etc. Ultimately, I changed my display back to the default so it would (supposedly) use the maximum number per row. I then cleared my site cache. I think I also cleared the plugin cache and the NextGen gallery cache. After that, it miraculously started working. I found that clearing that cache helped as far as seeing results right away. I guess it ended up being much less of a problem than I initially thought. Good luck to you with your situation.

    Thanks,
