 * I’ve downloaded and installed the latest version of NextGen Gallery. I’m attempting
   to place a slideshow gallery on the homepage using the jquery option. I’m uploading
   test images that are 800×533 in dimension. I have the option to resize images
   upon upload enable to 800×533. I’ve inserted the slideshow to my homepage, however
   when i view the homepage the slideshow is there but all my images have been shrunken
   down to thumbnail size? I’ve been attempting to solve this issue for a few hours
   and have been looking through forums attempting to figure out why my images keep
   getting resized down to thumbnails. I’ve deleted and re-uploaded the images to
   galleries several times, and just when i think its actually working… i refresh
   my browser and boom, they are all shrunken down again. I’ve been testing on different
   computers in the house and getting the same results. I’ve spent far too long
   trying to figure this out when it should have been a simple task to add a slideshow.
   This is my last resort before i begin looking at other options. I’d like to make
   nextgen my permanent solution for future clients, but if its this difficult to
   implement a basic slideshow with basic settings… Please if someone can show me
   im just slow and overlooking something easy then I would be sooo happy! Can anyone
   out there help me out? You can see my progress at [http://www.daniellee.us/prototype1](http://www.daniellee.us/prototype1)

 * As a side note.. when the page is loading at first, it appears like the images
   are going to display correctly… the page renders with enough space for the 800
   ×533 and I can see a large “loading” logo in the middle of the page. But then
   when the page finally loads, all the extra space disappears and replaced with
   a tiny thumbnail of my larger images.

 * [@dannylee11](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dannylee11/) – Artisteer generated
   themes tend to have their own little quirks about them which is what I suspect
   is the issue here.
 * Try setting the height of the slideshow’s HTML container to the same height as
   the images and see if that helps to sort out the issue you are seeing?
 * Thanks!

 * Thanks a million for replying to this! I did attempt to edit my div container
   and set the height accordingly… sadly, however, it did not fix the issue. The
   content area itself did extended to the height that I designated. But the slideshow
   still shrank down to thumbnails, and now i have a bigger and still empty content
   area. I tried messing with the html and css to see if I could figure something
   else out, but I guess in the end Artisteer’s code is doesn’t work very well with
   the NextGen Slideshow, and there isn’t an easy way to deal with it. For this
   particular project, I’m going with another slideshow that worked fine on the
   first try. I will still use NextGen in the future with other project so long
   as I can get Artisteer and NextGen to play nice. Just curious though… how were
   you able to view the code and determine that it was created using artisteer?
   I think the fact you can tell is more intriguing to me at this point lol. Thanks
   again for the help!

 * [@dannylee11](https://wordpress.org/support/users/dannylee11/) – Thanks for the
   follow-up!
 * Viewing the page source, you will often see many different classes starting with`
   art-` which is fine as it does help to provide unique classes but under most
   best practices those prefixes should be reflecting the theme name (or “slug”)
   as a more appropriate prefix.
 * The biggest give-away though is found near the top of the page and is a dead
   give-away: `<!-- Created by Artisteer v4.1.0.59861 -->`
