After updating my site, wp core and plugins,
I couldn’t find any media at all in the library.

I deactivated all my plugins and found out that it is NextGen v. 2.0.66.37 that causes the problem.

When deactivated the images shows in the WP media library.
    When activated they are not.

    Any suggestions?

@andershall – I’m happy to help. Could you please try changing themes to one of the Twenty series themes (default WordPress themes) and see if the issue persists? Also, please try the site with ONLY NextGEN enabled – all other plugins deactivated.

Let me know if this helps,

Well, I just learned that it was the pluin “Dagon Design Sitemap Generator”, that caused the problem. Sorry for giving NextGen the blame.
