[Resolved] Nextgen Pro Lightbox conflict with gallery-caption.php override

  • I’ve mentioned this to Pro Support, but I’m hoping someone else here has overcome this problem, as I’m looking for a solution ASAP.

    Even on a clean wordpress install, using the NextGen Basic Thumbnails gallery:

    when you use a the gallery-caption.php template and also use the Pro lightbox, the lightbox will not load the correct photo on click. The lightbox will always load the first photo in the gallery instead of the item clicked.

    I’ve tested this on 3 different WP installs, all with the same issue. I can use the template override, or I can use the pro lightbox, but I can’t use both.

    here is an example in action: http://billbrissette.com/cleaninstall/?p=33
    this is a clean install, using only the nextgen and nextgen pro plugins, basic thumbnails set to use the caption template, and lightbox pro as the lightbox.

    any help would be appreciated.

  • I think what you’re experiencing was fixed in 2.0.29.

    [Edit]D’oh, something else entirely. It will be fixed in the next release, or add this line to /products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_data/class.image_wrapper.php after line 423 (just before $this->_cache[‘thumbcode’] = $retval)
    $retval .= ' data-image-id="' . $this->__get('id') . '"';

    Wow, yes, this corrected the issue. thanks!

    I also wanted to mention, that this issue appears to be corrected in today’s plugin update.

    thanks guys.
