NextGen Pro including captions with images & galleries

I have looked on some of the old support forums re this and some information says to add [nggallery id=1 template=caption] to the code for the gallery, however the code I get when I insert a gallery is [ngg_displayed_gallery mceItem] and I have no idea where to insert the template=caption part of it. Can anyone help?

I think I’ve figured out that the “caption” in NextGen is actually the “Description” field in the Gallery Images. Is there some way to get it to insert captions, i.e. descriptions with the images, in slideshows?
