Nextgen generating non existent URLS and returns response 200

I have a website using GENESIS 2.1.2 and using NEXTGEN GALLERY 2.1, it seems everything under /nggallery/ returns a response 200 and displays a page and not a 404 even if the page doesn’t exists, for example:
- http://www.domain.com/nggallery/fakeurl = displays the homepage instead of a 404 page
- http://www.domain.com/gallery/nggallery/fakeurl = displays the page gallery page but with no gallery
It also generates some weird URLS that I discovered using SEOMOZ, see below:
Anybody else experiencing this?
