NextGen Gallery Prevents Slideshow Function

Hi,

I installed the NextGen Plugin because I want to use their thumbnails. BUt now my homepage Slideshow is not working. Why can’t I have both functioning? The Slideshow is a part of a different plugin. Does that conflict with the functionality of NextGen?
