Support » Plugin: Easy FancyBox » NextGen Gallery – Photo count and stop cycling to next gallery on the page

I’m trying to achieve similar functionality as the “Shutter” effect in NextGen gallery. I have Easy Fancybox installed with a customized look. However, there is a pitfall.

Fancybox cycles to the next adjacent gallery on the page once you reach the last photo in the gallery and I need to prevent this from happening. The “Shutter” effect on NextGen seems to be the only effect that has a photo count feature and does not cycle onto the next gallery after the last photo has been reached. But Fancybox has all the great navigation that I need (close button, arrows on top of the photo, etc).

Generally speaking, Fancybox has the best user experience. Is there a way to prevent Fancybox from cycling onto the next gallery on the page and perhaps get a count of the number of images in a gallery like the Shutter effect included in NextGen Gallery?

Hi, on under Will a NextGen gallery be displayed in a FancyBox overlay ? you’ll find the simple but essential steps you need to take.

Thank you! I did not realize there were options for Easy FancyBox. The title “media” under “settings” was generic and made me believe it was apart of the core of WordPress.

This worked out for me perfectly. Thank you for your time and dedication!

Haha, well, yes. That title is generic because it is indeed part of the WordPress core. It’s just that my plugin adds some more (media related) options to that page 🙂
