• Hi there,
I would like to get NGG and the Gravity Forms plugin to “play” together. Any hints of how to achieve this, I would be very grateful about!!!
At the moment I’m thinking along two lines:
    1. GF automatically puts pictures into a normal WP gallery. Is there a way to convert a normal WP gallery into a NG Gallery? Get this to be done automatically as soon as the WP gallery is created? How do I find out the ID of a NG gallery? Would it make sense to use the post ID as the gallery ID? Then I would always know which gallery belongs to which post!

    2. Explore the plugin NGG Public Uploader and see how it works. Then customise the functions inside it to create a new gallery in NG gallery with Gravity Forms instead.

Questions: How do I find out the last (highest) NG gallery ID? How do I create a NG gallery with the next higher ID? How do I then get the uploaded photos into that gallery?

    Maybe it’s all too complicated…..

  • Hey landwire,

I’m trying to achieve (mostly) the same thing as you. So far, I’ve been able to change the upload path for images using the code found here. I have set my new upload path to an existing gallery. Thus one has to create a new gallery beforehand, this is not done from within Gravity forms..

However, I still have to manually rescan the gallery from the ‘Manage gallery’ page. So any tips on how to get the gallery to update itself when the Gravity form is submitted would be very much welcome.

    Hi larsad,
I have not looked into this issue much further for now. I will let you know once I get somewhere with it.
Keep me posted too in case you make any progress.
    All the best,
    Sascha
