# [NextGEN Gallery] adding image title

 * Hi,
 * I’d like to add the title of each images on the gallery.php.
 * I tried to modify the template: gallery.php by adding:
 * echo “$image->alttext”;
 * I have selected gallery.php on the menu NextGEN Basic Thumbnails.
    It didn’t 
   work, nothing change at all.
 * I read on another topic that I had to create an other template with this change.
   The template does not appear in the list.
 * If someone could explain to me where should i put my new template to make it 
   appear in the list i would be grateful.
 * Sorry if you see any english mistake, english is not my native language.

   your custom template(s) in the same location you found the “gallery” template…
   otherwise (without the context of the template you have created) the snippet 
   of code you are trying to use is correct.
