• Does anyone know a newsletter signup plugin that will do the following:

    I have been asked to create a newsletter sign up using First Name and Email fields.

    For the signup a proprietary email platform uses a trigger pixel to post data.

    The pixel information with the variables to capture on start up is below and they supplied an API document.

    Required Variables

    PID = xxx

    ew_eid = xxxxx

    u_email = EMAIL

    u_source_key = SOURCE_KEY

    When the user fills out and hits submit “you just populate the url with form fields and load the image. We will give you a direct URL.”

    I don’t understand this and hoping I can find a plugin that will do it.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Hi sharlene_c,

    What email blasting service are you trying to find a plugin for? For example, my buddy and I created a plugin called Benchmark Email Lite (see https://wordpress.org/plugins/benchmark-email-lite/) that has lots of admin configurable signup field choices (including First Name and Email address) for http://www.Benchmarkemail.com. That is, once any of us know the name of your particular email blasting service, we can better guide you to a solution. 🙂

    Hi Randy and thanks for responding.
    I will definitely look at your plugin.

    I know there are lot of plugins out there for Mailchimp and the like but I’m after something for an inhouse service so it should be configurable to ANY proprietary platform.

    Here is an example of the the link they supplied for the form action:
    lnk.abc.com?fname=<firstname>&redirecturl=abcthankyou

    and when someone completes a form and presses submit i want it load the url post it and redirect to the thank you page .. it seems just like when you add a mailchimp link to a mailchimp plugin.

    I think this could even be done as a text widget with a normal html form? but I’m not sure how to set it up with those variables above.
