Jetpack’s Comment form is hosted on WordPress.com and added to your site via an iFrame. As a result, it’s not possible to add new elements to the form at the moment. We’re planning on adding more customization options to the comment form, but I don’t have an ETA yet.
I would suggest that you keep an eye on the Jetpack News blog; we’ll post there as soon as we add such options.

I would love it if Jetpack comments allowed for a newsletter signup checkbox of some sort.

Has anybody figured out a way to add a checkbox to the bottom of their Jetpack Comments form which allows commenters to subscribe to the email newsletter if they want?
