I have just installed the newscast theme that a cousin of mine bought for me. So far it’s good but I can’t get rid of the banner at the top of the page of my wordpress.org blog and I want to replace it with text that reads out the name of my blog. It always has that newscast banner. Can anyone explain how to get rid of the ‘newscast’ banner and replace it with the name of my blog. I have read through the options but I can’t seem to find the right place and steps to do so. Please someone just briefly give details as to how to do this? I would really appreciate it. Thanks much.

Research first. That theme is not one we have on WordPress.org.
If you have issues with it, then asking here for help is perfectly inappropriate.

I was referring to the theme “Newscast” and I did research. It’s a paid them but you could get a demo of it and test it. It’s online as a demo, not just a full paid theme. I just want to have my site name where the theme’s banner is. it can be done as i have done it with other themes successfully. It’s just that there are so many options areas in wordpress’ dashboard area with regards to that theme. Please someone test it for me and just delete it when you are done. That’s all. Please try.

Try here for support with that theme — the theme author is the person who know how the theme options work:
