Newly installed WordPress – Can’t upload images

  • sedonagate

    @sedonagate

    I just installed WordPress for the first time this past month. Everything seems to be working well, but tonight, for the first time, I tried to upload an image using the built in WYSIWYG editor in the admin. A popup window with a blank screen appears. I have to force quit or hit the back button to get out of it.

    I appreciate any help with this. Thank you.

  • Same problem here after upgrading to 2.5.1 from 2.5. Any resolution?

    Okay – figured it out. For anyone who’s interested:

    First, I’m using FCKeditor.

    I manually created the following directory:

    wp-content/uploads/image

    Upload graphics directly to that directory via FTP

    In FCKeditor, click on Insert Image icon

    Image Properties – click on Browse Server

    Image file name should appear in window

    Click on it

    Window will close and take you back to Image Properties

    Click okay

    I hope this helps someone.
