• We’re using the Freelancer theme which is based on GeneratePress. Our WordPress, plugins and themes are all up to date.

We use certain plugins like Column Shortcodes, Page List and Metaslider, which work.

We have tried installing qTranslate X, for example, which seems to work on the backend (you can create multilingual pages) but when you load the page you can only see the content for both of the languages inside visible shortcodes.

We have also experienced the same problem with plugins such as “Very Simple Events List”, WP-Globus and WPForms. See here for a test page I made with WP-Globus and WPForms: https://imgur.com/a/OPVc8

Since this problem affects more than plugin, it seems it’s possibly a theme-related problem. I’ve noticed in the page source that there are no stylesheets loaded for WP-Globus or WPForms.

Please let me know if there’s additional information I should provide to help solve this.

    Hi there,

GeneratePress uses core WordPress functions to output the page content, so things like shortcodes etc.. should be handled by WordPress itself, not the theme.

Does the issue persist if you activate one of the “Twenty-something” themes?
