I love VC and would like to use it more, but I noticed that not all themes have all the VC elements. This has me scratching my head.

Actually, I was just notified by one theme creator that the Media Grid element is not currently supported by their theme. This same theme (Boika) only has a paltry number of elements compared to another theme I bought (High End) that has many, many elements that all do work.

Can someone please help me make sense of this? I would have opened a ticket on the VC support site but they require a purchase code, and since VC came bundled with the theme I didnt actually buy it directly.

    Many thanks in advance.

Then you’ll need to ask the developers of your theme – we really have no way to support commercial products –

Or if it’s a question about a specific theme being able to use VC, ask the developers of that particular theme.

Unfortunately, their English is very poor and its difficult to communicate with them. They claim that “Many widget composer were removed, ours is a modified version and give support only to existing shortcode”

Q: If I purchase VC outright, could it be used to override the existing installation in WP?

Unfortunately, I have idea – never used that plugin. But I would think (hope) that VC would have someplace you can ask Pre-sales questions before purchasing?

    Sadly, they don’t.
