[resolved] newbie - Slideshow created but doesn't display (5 posts)

A few minutes ago I downloaded, installed, and activated slideshow. Then created a three-image show, The images appear vertically on the right side of the slideshow edit page. I "posted" it and the page says "Post published. View post". The deploy code is [slideshow_deploy id='2232'].

    - When I click on the "View post' link it goes to site/slideshow/2232/ but with a not-found message.

    - When I try to "Insert Slideshow" on a page it says "It seems you haven't created any slideshows yet."

    What am I missing?

It's correct that the "site/slideshow/2232/" would show a page not found message, as the slideshow can only be viewed through the shortcode or PHP snippet.

It's strange that the "Insert Slideshow" page states that no slideshows have been created yet. This could perhaps be caused by a conflict with another plugin.

You could try to place the [slideshow_deploy id='2232'] shortcode in your page manually to see if it works.

    Thanks. It was different today.

    1. "Insert Slideshow" worked and inserted the [slideshow_deploy id='2232'] shortcode on the page.

    2. But nothing appears on the page for the slideshow. The code seems to be there but I don't see anything.

Take a look; here's the page:

Thanks for including a link to your website.

The slideshow doesn't work because the website doesn't load its script. This probably happens because your theme doesn't seem to call the "wp_footer()" function in its "footer.php" file.

Please have a look at this forum thread for the solution to your problem.

Thanks, Stephan, that fixed it! Works fine now.
