    Hi folks,

I’ve tried another few commerce plugins but none that work completely without creating other difficulties to the site.

I’m looking for a solution – I’m going to see if WooCommerce will work for me. Here’s what I’m hoping I can do with it.

    Must do
1.) An ADD TO CART button that will use either the date of the post or other unique identifier as a product name or ID.
2.) Allow multiple sizes/price points to choose from – they would be standard throughout the site.
    3.) A non-price option
4.) A one time shipping charge (or is that something that would be created in WooCommerce in the cart?).

    Would like to do
5.) The ADD TO CART button will be part of CSS so it shows automatically, not something that I have to add to each post
6.) Allows use of Paypal (OK with others but want to include PP).

Are there plug ins that you would suggest that will or that you believe will accomplish what I’m trying to do?

I appreciate the community here and thank you.

  • Hi

Absolutely yes; Woocommerce do all of these tasks perfectly by default

    But you need these:
    1- A woocommerce friendly theme
2- configure Woocommerce based its documentation

I can’t seem to figure out how to use posts as products. I don’t want to lose my blog – I tried using POST TYPE SWITCHER but it of course removes them from the blog AND it changes their appearance. The blog of course allows you to go forward or reverse in dates. I am hoping to add code to the CSS and have every POST become a product with a universal set of options. Some unique identifier on the post, maybe the date or the title, would be picked up by Woocommerce as the product name. The customer then adds size (price variable) and finish (no price difference).

I’ve read through a lot of the WC documentation and cannot seem what I’m looking for, if it exists.

    Hey there!

Setting up all your posts to also be products is not something that can be done without some extensive customizations. We highly recommend contacting one of the services on our Customizations page (https://woocommerce.com/customizations/) if you are looking to have this done.

One option is to just create your products in WooCommerce, and then use the WooCommerce blocks that are a part of WooCommerce to add in the products to each of your posts relating to that product.

Hopefully that helps! Have a great one!

    Hi,

Woocommerce create its post type called Product and You can’t sell post types,

You can use Gravity Forms and create your product and forms and connect it to paypal etc.

You should create a form and add it to all of your blog posts using wordpress hooks.

    Good luck
