# newbie: authorizing comments

 * hi all.
 * Apologies if this is too easy… i did look in the codex, but didnt find anything
   straight forward.
 * I would like comments auto-authorized – but i do want to make folks enter name
   + email. at the moment – the name and email are required, but it seems to leave
   the comments pending.

 * Under Options -> Discussions, the first set of check boxes (Usual settings for
   an article}, the 3rd (last) item,check Allow people to post comments on the article.
 * Below that, the 3 set of boxes (Before a comment appears) make sure that only
   Comment author must fill out name and e-mail is checked.
 * That should do it.

   who have been approved before can ppear…
