I’ve recently imported my old wordpress blog that was built in wordpress 2.3 using 1&1 internet’s blog tool. The old blog is gone and if you go to my blog http://www.copyrightad.com you’ll see the new blog set up with the Cutline 3-Column Split theme. But if you click on the archives or about button it takes you to a 404 page.

My question is three fold, how can I fix this? If using the theme editor, where can I find the option to change those buttons? Can I point a couple of pages made on the old blog to those buttons or will I have to get a theme that is built to recognize pages?

    Thanks in advance.

  • If the “about” and “archives” are indeed pages, as the other pages you can create in your wordpress blog, then you should first check if their slug is still called “about” and “archives”.

Next, I can’t tell, compare local files in your backup and current files of your template ?

Thanks for the assist Sabinou – I’ve noticed something while trying to work though this problem, if I click on the month by month archives along the left side bar, things appear to work – the page seems to switch from frontpage to archives. But, if I click on the archives button on the top of the page it gives me the 404 error.

    I have newbie confusion.

Nevermind I switched templates to something more basic until I get a better handle on things.

    Thanks again for the help.
