  • WordPress won’t let me upload new themes – I get an error message:

HTTP redirect status code must be a redirection code, 3xx.

I called my hosting company, GoDaddy, and they can’t fix it – they think it’s an update problem. Kinda frustrating when I want to spend the day on a new website.

  • You could consider installing this plugin:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/

See if it comes up with anything?

This is the sort of thing that would definitely be worth a Trac ticket for a bug fix, but it needs to be reproduce-able and at the moment there is no clue as to the root cause.

I have the same problem and still trying to figure it out…

Yes, I am also having this problem.

I also use GoDaddy so I think it is likely they are the issue. When I contacted GoDaddy they just told me to use one of their themes…. So frustrating!

Some plugins are known to cause this problem. What plugins are you running?

One of the known plugins to cause the issue is “advanced-access-manager”. There may be others.

Hi – thanks all for your thoughts. It resolved itself late yesterday so I am thinking it was a WordPress error/bug.
