# New WordPress Versions

 * I was looking into updating a site for a client. I noticed that their site uses
   quite a few widgets in their custom theme. I know early versions of the 5.0 release
   broke some site functionality (such as widgets). Is this still a problem in 5.2?
   I can’t find the answer anywhere and would like to have an answer for my client.

 * None of the 60+ sites I’ve upgraded to 5.2.1 have had any widget related problems.

 * I agree, no widget issues here either with nearly 100 upgrades to WordPress and
   this includes sites with widgets added by third-party plugins and themes.
