The plugin only creates error’d packages — it did not use to do this. I enlisted Tilden Tasks to create an error-free package for a zip file, as per Duplicator’s support recommendation. But so far, no luck.

Interesting… Seems as though GD may have changed something with your hosting environment. Have you reported the issue to GD to let them know that it used to work fine and is all of sudden failing?
Some budget hosts will help and others won’t, but the fact that no version works at all anymore seems like they may try and help you at least isolate the update they made which caused things to start failing…
Any updates on this? I’m expereincing a similar issue on GD (trying to deploy a package stops in the middle)
I am on GoDaddy as well. I am actually moving to Dreamhost because of lots of 500 errors. I have seen this error you talk of. I just hit “ReScan” and it let me move on.
I spoke too soon. It did not work.
Now I am going to recant my “Did not work” statement. I had a smaller site (160 MB total) that DID work. Copied to the new host like a champ.
Same problem here. I tried Godaddy and faced this http://prntscr.com/86ey0t . I tried 1&1 but failed to proceed because of database error[unknown character set:utf8mb4]..
Is there any one got any solution?
