New users not getting notification – in need of Help

    Hello Forum,
    I need help 🙁
    I have looked through the forum and see similar problems but they are seem a couple of years old and mostly no solution.
    I have tried a number if things and sent email to hosting company detailing this, please see below.
    Is there anything I have overlooked in my points to them?

    Really appreciate any help / guidance on this

    ************ Begin Letter to Host ************

    I have tried the following:

    1) Disable all plugins and registered a new user.
    Result: no confirmation email received

    2) Updated Theme installation –
    Result: no confirmation email received

    3) Latest WP Version installed –
    Result: no confirmation email received

    4) Uploaded a mailtest.php file to root to test email- please see http://mydomain.com/mailtest.php
    Result: no confirmation email received

    5) Checked this email confirmation on other sites (e.g. my-other-domain.co.uk) that are on my same account and it worked. i.e. email was received – I noted though that it is on a different mail server ( ? )

    6) checked for blacklist and got listings please see : http://mxtoolbox.com/

    7) I have created a mailbox ‘wordpress@mydomain.com’ should this be a server requirement, Result: no confirmation email received

    8) As it is a clean install of WP and Theme, and I have other sites that are sending emails (albeit on different mail servers) my instinct is pointing to a mail server issue as I don’t believe there is nothing more I can do on my side.
