Thank you for the clear description of the issue.

I have added a new Version (v1.1.0) of the plugin which limits the plugin’s password format to the Add New user (user-new.php) and Your Profile (profile.php) admin pages. This should fix the issue however new users will still register with an automatically generated password in the default complex format which they are prompted to change to one of their own choice as normal.

The plugin’s password format will be used for the generated password only if they subsequently reset their password at their ‘my profile’ admin page.

I will investigate adding functionality to enable new self-registering users to have a password generated by this plugin possibly for the next version of the plugin.

    Cool!

The “functionality to enable new self-registering users to have a password generated by this plugin” as well as having password resets utilize this plugin are worth USD¤38.53 (GBP¤30); especially as my site’s audience is primarily older folk and this complexity issue is a huge problem (with respect to getting on-site and making a purchase) and, as yet, the only one keeping us from going live.

I don’t get paid till Thursday. But after that, will you have bandwidth/cycles to burn on this?

    Cheers,

    Topher

This isn’t the correct place to discuss paid work. I have received your email and will respond by that channel once I have had an opportunity to look into what will be involved in adding this enhancement.
