• I’m getting a really weird issue with WP 3.3.2 where anybody who subscribes to the site is not getting the new user registration email.

This has always worked in the past and only started happening between June 5-7. On June 5, I got a new user email in which both the email address and username were blank.

June 7, someone managed to register and I got a new user email with the correct details.

Today, two more blank email notifications. I’ve tried to sign up to the site with multiple different email addresses and none are going through.

I’ve contacted my host and the server is working correctly. I’ve used a test plugin to send emails from WordPress to myself and that works correctly. I have disabled all plugins that were installed or updated after the date when it stopped working.

Has anybody experienced this before or does anybody know what the issue might be? I’m losing dozens of daily signups because of this issue!

    Thanks for your time!

    Ian

I’ve just tested adding users manually in the Users menu of the Dashboard and this also doesn’t deliver the email to the user and I get a blank new user email with no details.

    Confused…

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

why is this being tagged with wp-email? it has nothing to do with it
