A client of ours has a WordPress site that is using the “Theme my Login” plugin to handle authentication screens and things.
The registration form currently works and allows a user to register their account. The form only asks for email, first name, and last name.
I believe WordPress is then setting a temporary password for the users account and then it is supposed to send the user an email detailing what their temporary password is along with a link to reset it. I also believe this is a default behavior of WordPress unrelated to the plugin (please correct me if i’m wrong there).
Our problem is that the new user registration email is never sent.
If i go to the login screen and run through the forgot password functionality, i DO correctly receive the email to reset my password.
We are trying to figure out what debugging steps we need to take in order to understand why the initial new user registration email is not being sent out and how to resolve.
The reason we need this functionality is because we are trying to use Cognito SSO for the website and we need to hook into somewhere to tell Cognito what the users password is.
We would gladly hook into anything that Them my Login can give us, if there are any hooks that give us access to the password upon registration (if we enable password fields on the registration page, of course).
Thanks for any help!
