• I just did a fresh install of wordpress 3.3.1 with no plugins added yet to test the user registration as I was having issues with it before.

Ok, so I’ve used three different email addresses to set up 3 new test users, one with gmail one with yahoo and one with live.com – all worked fine except the live.com

On a previous install I had used a yahoo mail address as my admin and everything worked fine.

On a later install I used the same email and it didn’t work so on this new install I used support@mydomain.com and I’m getting the above results.

Any ideas on why I wasn’t having trouble on a previous install with a yahoo admin email address
    then
had trouble on another install with the same address
    then
    now
    I’m having the currently issue

Ok, here’s an update. I finally got the notice that test user with the live.com email registered for my site but yet have received the password in my live.com email.

I just noticed also that the email the user receives comes from wordpress@mydomain.com so it really doesn’t matter what email I use as the admin email does it?
