Mike’s link helps customising the email address to which any new user notifications are sent. This is not quite what the @kutaap4 is asking. He is asking why the admin does not get a new user notification.
I don’t think WordPress sends an email to the admin when a new user registers. My install doesn’t anyway. It only sends an email to the new user.
However, there is a plugin that can notify the admin:

Dashboard > Settings > Notification E-mails
ensure “New user notification to admin” is enabled.
I don’t know if it works with a multisite, try it.
