New User E-Mail

  • Hi,

i´m trying to send E-Mails to newly registered Users and notify the blog-owner (me). Even if they were registered through admin-user-panel (and didn´t self-register them through login/register-form). I receive admin-emails in every case. But my Problem is that i only receive E-Mails as a newly registered user, when i register me through the login/registration-form.

as far as i read through all the code:
in /wp-includes/pluggable.php (core file) the function “wp_new_user_notification” is defined and should send the mail, when i register a user withhin: 1) wp-admin/includes/user.php AND 2) wp-login.php

So: Where is my Problem? I use Wp 2.7.1 on a Linux-Server with Php5.

    Thanks for any help!

  • wp_new_user_notification still fails to send emails to users who register themselves, although it does successfully send emails to the administrator. This is weird since the code looks as if it really should work!

As an example you can try registering on http://www.timecrystal.co.uk. The Facebook Connector makes no difference and gives easy access to the Register page.

There are several other users who have reported this error, so it looks pretty common.
