New User Created on Approve

I was poking through the code and it looks like when a new user is approved they are re-created and a password is set? I saw that in the code some where…
Anyhow, that’s a problem for me because I’m using Gravity Form’s User Registration and I’m setting the password.
I’m not entirely sure if this is the plugin changing the password but is there a way for that to not happen?
