New URL share counts always 0

    I am noticing 2 things since past 2-3 weeks at least
    – The share counts of new URLs (like the one I’ve provided) are 0 always. If I check in FB debugger, it does show 2 likes. And, I know it has been shared on multiple platforms. So the count should definitely be > 1.
    – For URLs that were shared a few weeks back, the counts are not getting updated. Again, some of the URLs I know have more shares. But, the counts are not reflecting these.

    Any ideas what could be going wrong? Also, a different question: Any thoughts on having the following
    – Including likes on LinkedIn as that will be immensely helpful for many business professionals.
    – Including shares/reads and claps on Medium

    Overall I like this plugin. It’s nimble and quick. So, would love to see the counts issue addressed and these enhancements down the line.

    The issue is with Facebook’s API, which has been a dumpster fire lately.

    Hitting the “Scrape Again” button in Facebook’s debugger kickstarts Facebook’s counts API for the page.

    LinkedIn no longer serves share counts, and Medium doesn’t offer a counts API.

    Thanks. That worked. I did notice that some of the pages were not scraped by FB for almost 6 months although I read on some forums that they would scrape every 30 days. Anyways, thanks for your prompt response and doing a good job with the plugin!
