Support » Plugin: WordPress PDF Light Viewer Plugin » New update made my site crash

  • Resolved Lisa Robertson

I’ve just updated all my plugins. The site crashed. I isolated this to the pdf viewer. There might be some incompatibility issues. I have the plugin in a temporary file in the mean time and have my site in maintenance mode.
Have there been any other issues with other sites and the new version.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @lisa-robertson, @laurennelsen

The error caused by the incompatibility between new code practice and old PHP versions (prior to 5.5). The error occured for PHP versions 5.3 (unmaintained by the PHP dev team since 14 Aug 2014) and 5.4 (unmaintained by the PHP dev team since 3 Sep 2015).

We’ve pushed a fix for this error in the plugin version 1.3.22

    Any update on this?
I cannot even log into my WP dashboard to uninstall it because of this plugin error.. much less send people to visit my page.

    Hi Lauren
It is fixed. You have to go to the cpanel and delete the plugin there. You will then be able to log into your dashboard. You then can download the plugin again.

Thank you for the help @lisa-robertson!

@laurennelsen, as @lisa-robertson mentioned, the issue was fixed. To apply it you probably will need to delete the plugin directory from your server and re-install it. Unfortunately, there is no options to re-install it automatically.
