We have been a little delayed with development on this plugin, unfortunately. The good news, though, is that we’re be releasing some other cool PayPal plugins soon! 🙂
We have just this past week gotten back on this, and we actually split our next update up. This next one is going to be 1.1.6.3, and then we’ve got 1.2 planned behind that.
I did go ahead and move this particular issue into the 1.1.6.3 plan, so that will be included! I really hope to have it released within a week or two, but I feel like I’ve been saying that a lot lately, so I don’t want to promise it.
We’re definitely working hard on it and it won’t be much longer. I’m going to close this ticket, but let me know if you have any other questions.
Hello i know this ticket is closed so i hope you still get this and i also know you guys didn’t add the new update for this plugin yet. But my question is i was told you are releasing some other cool paypal plugins. I was wondering if any of those new plugins will have anything with paypal credit. The plugin i’m using now that has the bug problem works good with paypal credit. Thats why i use the plugin so again just wondering if the new once your working on will have paypal credit. Also i know you said it can be awhile for the new 1.1.6.3 update but have to ask any news when it might be released and when you guys do release it should i see the update on my dashboard or have to look at wordpress.org for it.

@redhood84, we’ve gotten all of the issues that we’re planning for 1.1.6.3 completed, but now I just have to finish thoroughly testing everything before I officially release it.
The new plugins that we’ll be releasing won’t really be for payment processing, per say. This plugin will continue go grow as far as that goes.
The new stuff will be random tools. A couple of them are already released.
– PayPal IPN for WordPress
– Offers for WooCommerce
Some that we have about 90% done include…
– PayPal WP Button Manager – This will let you easily create and manage PayPal standard buttons from within WordPress. It basically replicates the PayPal Button Manager they provide within paypal.com, but it makes it very easy to work with inside WordPress pages and posts.
The IPN plugin itself is free, but it’s really targeted at developers who wish to extend it and automate things based on different types of IPNs. We will also be releasing premium extensions to this one so if you’re not a developer you can get up and running with cool IPN tools without spending a bunch of time/money on development.
– PayPal Security Scanner – This will scan all pages/posts on a WordPress site to return a report of any potential PayPal security problems you might have. For example, standard buttons that are not encrypted or hosted.
These are almost done and will be released within the next few weeks. This is why development has been a little bit slow with PayPal for WooCommerce, but we’re working hard to get it all done ASAP!
hey its me again, i’m sure your getting sick of my emails but just woundering when will the update go out for 1.1.6.3 I was told with in 2 weeks and its being tested.
When the update does come out it should show up on the update part in wordpress correct. I just want to make sure i read right but this update 1.1.6.3 that was to fix the part when i sent out the email for a pre order to pay for the order and they clicked to pay by pay pal and all it did was refresh the screen and not take them to the pay pal page correct.

We have been delayed getting 1.1.6.3 released, unfortunately. I’ve discovered some bugs in some of the adjustments we made that we’re still trying to get worked out. We’re working on it, though, and will get it released ASAP. I may even have to move some issues to our 1.1.6.4 list, but I’m trying not to do that.
Yes, once the update is released it will show up in the WordPress -> Plugins just like any other plugin that has an update.
Getting Express Checkout to work with orders that you create and send to people for payment is indeed one of the things causing the delay. We had to rework the way Express Checkout payments work in WooCommerce (mostly regarding how/when it creates the actual WC order and then uses that data to generate the PayPal API request.)
So again, we’re working hard to get it done. Please be a little more patient with us and I think you’ll like what you see in the updates! 🙂
