    Hi all,

I am going back to an old WP site and have cleaned everything up so that it is running the latest everything. WP is 5.4.1 and jetpack is 8.4.2.

I tried to set up JP but when I log in, nothing happens.

I uninstalled JP and tried again – same problem. I log in, but it won’t go to the setup page, and the JP tab is stuck on “set up jetpack.” I keep clicking this, logging in, and nothing. I also tried from a new tab and a restart of the browser, no help.

Could anyone assist me here please? Cheers

    Hi there,

Have you tried with a completely different browser? If not, please try that, or try using incognito mode.

My guess is a stale login cookie from WordPress.com might be the problem here, and using an incognito/private browser session is simpler than clearing all your browser cookies (which would log you out of everything), though you can try that as well.

It might also be a good idea to clear your browser cache, and if you’re using any browser add-ons that block tracking cookies, see if disabling that helps.

Great suggestion kokkieh! I moved from firefox to chrome and it all worked fine.

    Thanks for the solution, Mat

If you prefer your usual browser, you can also try clearing cookies related to our services, and clearing your browser cache.
