That’s strange. I can’t think of a reason why an update would fail. Are you getting any errors in your php logs?

No, that’s the issue. And we use cloudflare which has maximum of 120 seconds and then you get a timeout. Your plugin is simply not able to update within 120 seconds which I can see for the first time…
Well, the updates took anywhere between 5 – 10 seconds on my machines. And it’s not a big update or anything. So 120 seconds should be more than enough. I can’t imagine SVN (the versioning system WordPress’ repository uses) being that slow.

I removed a lot of older version from my repository. Maybe that makes it a bit faster? You could try again?
