[resolved] New to WP, trying to put navigation buttons under header (3 posts)

I've used Blogger for years, so switching to WP is quite a learning curve. I'm using a Screwdriver template, and I have taken the sidebar image, redone it, and resized it to 100px wide to use as buttons.

Now I want to position my buttons directly underneath the header, between the header and the main body of the page. I'll link to the appropriate websites using the following buttons - Facebook/Twitter/Contact Us/Website

I'm clueless as how to code this, but I learn quickly, can someone show me the way or lead me somewhere that defines what I should do in simple language.

Do I do the editing in the Screwdriver Template, or do I do it in the main WP template? Do I just put the words on the buttons and insert them with a link, that seems like it would be easiest way.

Thanks for any help you can give me. My blog is at bigredworkwear.com/blog

It sounds like you want to be editing the header.php template file. You can either add HTML code directly in the template, or you can register and add a widget sidebar and add the html content in a text widget.

I'm sorry, but I'm still lost. I don't know how to code this to insert it into the template.
