# New to wordpress – problems

    I’m new to WordPress. Have loaded onto web-server. Tried to install a new
   theme and came up against the following error message
 * Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Unable to create file /home/www/sabirk/wp-
   content/zeesynergie.tmp because Permission denied in /home/www/sabirk/wp-admin/
   includes/file.php on line 177
 * Warning: unlink(/home/www/sabirk/wp-content/zeesynergie.tmp) [function.unlink]:
   Permission denied in /home/www/sabirk/wp-admin/includes/file.php on line 489
   
   Download failed. Could not open handle for fopen() to /home/www/sabirk/wp-content/
   zeesynergie.tmp
 * Can anyone suggest how to fix the problem?

 * your theme requires write permission to wp-content dir
 * Can change it from a ftp client like filezilla
 * 755 should do!

 * I have gone in to look at the write permissions in wp-content dir and they are
   ticked in both “owners permissions” and the “group permissions”.
 * IS there anywhere else I need to check?

 * what is the theme name? have a link? I can make a quick check for you!

 * Try uploading the unzipped theme for to the wp-content/themes folder using [FTP](http://codex.wordpress.org/FTP_Clients)
   or whatever file management application your host provides.
