New to WordPress and HTML

  • Ok… I got ambitious and added a Word Press blog to my ever expanding list of websites!
I used a template, which is a really cool one, but I want to add stuff like my Technorati buttons and other neat stuff that requires me to edit the side bar html.
I can “copy and paste” HTML, but have absolutely no idea how to get to the HTML code of my Word Pres blog (self hosted with 1and1) or what to do when I get there.
    Any clues???
    Thanks bunches!

  • Basically, the html code in your WP blog is going to be embedded in the php files in your theme. Also, a lot of what you may be used to doing directly in html will be controlled in WP through CSS in the themes associated css style sheet(s).

Spend some time looking through the docs here on the WP site…there is some good documentation about how to customize themes.
