    Hi you all,

I recently put up a business site, so far so good, it has been a lot of work and research since I am not a programmer…

..but now I have the code snippets plugin, and I would love to create my first snippet, but sincerely I don’t know if I am allowed to write any text ? or if it has to have actual text already on the page.

Do I have to have snippets for every page or just for the whole site ?

Do I write on the code box or in the description box..

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Best regards.

A snippet is a small chunk of PHP code (not HTML or text) that hooks into WordPress’ action and filter system to extend the functionality of a WordPress-powered website; essentially a mini-plugin with a lot less load on your site.

Most snippet-hosting sites tell you to add snippet code to your active theme’s functions.php file, which can get rather long and messy after a while. Code Snippets changes that by providing a GUI interface for adding snippets and actually running them on your site as if they were in your theme’s functions.php file.

Please see the plugin documentation for a list of sites where you can find snippets to use with this plugin, and some select snippets for you to try.

Do you need any more help? If so, feel free to ask.

Hi, the website for the documentation seem to be down. Could you please inform me as soon as it is up again? Your plugin looks very valuable!

Sorry about the website. I’ve been having trouble with my web host lately, and the website has been dropping in and out.

I’ll be making a switch to a much reputable and reliable web host in a few days. I’ll let you know when the switch is made; the site should work fine then.
