new themes not in admin

hi everyone…i have a blog (http://www.plumdrama.com/blog/) and i’m trying to install a new theme for it. i can’t get the new theme to appear as an option under the presentation tab. i’m pretty sure it’s sitting in the correct directory on my server, because it’s right alongside the default and classic themes that are pre-installed. i also tried changing the permissions for the index.php file as indicated on an earlier post.

and finally, i’ve downloaded 4 different themes thinking that it could be a version problem.

none of these efforts worked, so i’m kind of going a little crazy wondering what it could be.

please chime-in if you have any suggestions on other things i can try to fix this issue.
