• Hi,

I am a novice WP user and just downloaded a paid theme for my site. The theme came with demo content so I activated that as per their instructions. Then I received an error message saying that a database needed to be repaired. I found my wp-config file and added the code provided and then ran the “repair” option. The following error messages were received and advice to post them here:
    wp_posts: Table ‘margg_wrdp1.wp_posts’ doesn’t exist
    wp_comments: Table ‘margg_wrdp1.wp_comments’ doesn’t exist
    wp_links: Table ‘margg_wrdp1.wp_links’ doesn’t exist
    wp_options: Table ‘margg_wrdp1.wp_options’ doesn’t exist
    wp_postmeta: Table ‘margg_wrdp1.wp_postmeta’ doesn’t exist
    wp_terms: Table ‘margg_wrdp1.wp_terms’ doesn’t exist
    wp_term_taxonomy: Table ‘margg_wrdp1.wp_term_taxonomy’ doesn’t exist
    wp_commentmeta: Table ‘margg_wrdp1.wp_commentmeta’ doesn’t exist

I cannot log in to my site at all now.

Appreciate any help you can offer. I have submitted a ticket with the theme provider but I would like to get my site back online asap.

    My site: http://www.sweetsummertimephoto.com

    Thanks!
    Margaret

Hopefully that “repair” has not harmed your database.

Restore your wp-config.php file to what it had been and then also go to /wp-content/themes/(themefoldername)/ and rename the folder for that theme to deactivate it. WordPress should then fall back to Twenty Fifteen and hopefully you will again be able to access your site.

Thank you leejosepho – I’ll try to do that. If I can’t get it back I think I will just delete everything and reinstall wordpress.
    Appreciate your help!
