    Hi Scott, hi everybody,

when clicking on social icons (in my case: fb and mail), is there an option to open these in new tabs instead in the very same tab? I want my visitors to be able to still see my site when they navigate to the other sites.

In case of the mail-contact button, I know this links to the local user’s standard mail setting (which might be outlook or whatever client), but it may be, that this is gmail (in a specific browser) and it will then also force-leave the wp page.

All the best, and thank you!
    Jo

  • Yes, it’s the second option in the Social Options panel of the Customizer.

    Thank you!
It works great for facebook, but not for Mail (second part of my initial text above) as musch as I can see.
In my case, gmail will still be opened in the same tab. Is there a fix for this? Can you reproduce that? I like the idea of a button for mail, but it should imho be opened by default in a separate tab, so users can still see the site, as they may want to sometimes refer to stuff that is on the site, when composing their mail text.

    Scott,

is there a chance to get the social bar replicated in the footer? I mean…the exact behaviour as with menus (I can have it in header, sidebar and footer). I would like to have it in footer too and ideally different set of social icons :-D.

Thank you, you are the best!

    Joalisch,
I didn’t think of enabling this option on the mail link. I’ve set this for the next update.

    Romis,
I’m making this an option in the next update.

    Scott,

thank you, I really like it!
