    Hi Danny,
On this page, we have a form using a form builder plugin, which is meant to subscribe automatically to 2 MailChimp lists.

When I have “Double opt in” on, we get only 1 subscription confirmation email, not two. When I have “Double opt in” off, they aren’t going into the MailChimp form at all.

    Do you have any ideas?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Can you please go to the “MailChimp for WP > Others” menu and share the error log displayed there with us? You can use a service like pastebin.com to share the logs instead of posting it here.

    Thanks Harish.
I get the following error on that page:
    Debug Log
Log file is not writable. Please ensure /home/ecobarge/public_html/wp-content/uploads/mc4wp-debug-log.php has the proper file permissions.

But that file is 644, same as every other file in the uploads folder. The uploads folder has appropriate permissions.

Any ideas on what permissions are required on that file? Is 644 sufficient?

    Hi kapow_interactive,

The user that your PHP process (your web server) is running at should be able to write to the file, so the proper permissions should be something like 7xx if everything is configured properly.

    I recommend 755.

Let us know if that shows you an error message please (after trying the form submission once more).

    Hi guys. Still having trouble.
I was able to get the log files to work by changing permission to 777 (755 didn’t work, nor did 644) but I had to do it through putty, cPanel File Manager didn’t allow me to change permissions.

I have run more tests and when I tried to test with new email addresses using yopmail (auto generated free emails that I can check at a glance) it didn’t like the yopmail domain.

I then logged into MailChimp and archived myself, removing from subscription lists. When I re-submitted the volunteer form, I was somehow re-subscribed to “newsletter” but not to the lists that were actually configured in the plugin?

    Hello,

Can you please try another email address that you own? As per the error, MailChimp is rejecting the email addresses you entered.
