New slides not loading
-
Hi,
Our current Master Slider slides are loading just fine, but when I try to add new slides on both preview and the live slider I get an endless spinning wheel. And when I go back into the slide builder I see the image has disappeared to be replaced by a blank white slide.
Our website is https://www.europeancabinets.com/
WordPress 4.4.2 running TwentyTwelve Child theme.
Thanks

Hi,
I have to say your WordPress version is not the latest one. So please try to make a back up from your WordPress and Master Slider then try to update both Master Slider and WordPress.Let us know
AvertaWe know the WP version isn’t the latest… but we haven’t updated the plugin either… I would assume that the two versions would continue to work together. Is that an incorrect assumption?
Thanks
Hi,
Well it depends to other things as well for example maybe something on your server updates for example the php of your server. Or some other plugins updates and it brings conflict. So in general the best is to always update all your plugins and WordPress.I hope it make sense
Regards
AvertaOkay. Well, we’ll hobble along until we can do all the updates and then fingers crossed.
So we have now completed all our updates and we are still having the same problem. I have tried to load a new slide on this page, it’s the last one: https://www.europeancabinets.com/doors/glass/casali/
You’ll see that the thumbnail looks like it’s broken, and the slider image just has a permanent spinning wheel on a white background.
Ideas?
I just noticed that if you right click the thumbnail, I get a broken URL: https://www.europeancabinets.com/wp-content/uploads/www.europeancabinets.com/2016/12/Florita-casali-glass-door.jpg Note the second instance of http://www.europeancabinets.com… not sure why that is appearing in the URLs, and seems like it must be part of the problem.
Ideas?
Can you please comment on the information provided by our web developer above? We have discovered the error and we are happy to help in any way to get this issue resolved ASAP.
Thanks
*Looks. Geez, now I need to redact all of the replies from the @averta account.*

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.
If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.
Please be aware that repeatedly accepting credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team. There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site should not be one of them.
- Ask for a link to the http://pasetbin.com/ log of the user’s web server error log.
- Ask the user to create and post a link to their
phpinfo();
output. - Ask the user to install the Send System Info plugin and get the data that way.
- Walk the user through enabling WP_DEBUG and how to log that output to a file and how to share that file.
- Walk the user through basic troubleshooting steps such and disabling all other plugins except yours, switch to the Twenty Fifteen theme, clear their cache and cookies and try again.
- Ask the user for the step-by-step on how they can reproduce the problem.
You get the idea.
Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.
@jennv Please do not send anyone login credentials. It’s not safe and plugin authors who repeatedly make thatr offer risk getting into real trouble in these forums.
Hi Jan, Thanks for the advice. Our developer actually originally offered to provide them access, I’ll check with him and get in touch with the plugin author. On the upside, they are finally responding to me. π
@averta Thanks for the follow up finally. I’ll have my developer get in contact with you to determine how to move forward to fix this.
Ok, I will be in touch.
@averta Did you get our email? Can you please confirm timing on this?
After much prodding, Averta helped us to solve our problem!
