New Site, setup like my others but broken when hide backend
-
so, brand new install of WordPress. Then activated Akismet, entered API. No issues. Then added Wordfence. No issues. Then Added iTheme Security. So far so good.
Copied every setting in iTheme Security from one of my other sites.Save changes. Moved on to the advanced settings. Checked on the DB prefix. Save changes. Changed wp-content to a unique name and hit the change button. Fine,
- except
next I selected Dashboard (iThemes Security) and got a page saying “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”. Hit the back button and I’m at the Advanced tab again. So next I select the Plugins page and . . . I get a message “You do not appear to have any plugins available at this time.”
WHAT? I just set up three of them! Hit the back button and I’m at the Advanced tab again.
So, basically, if I try to go anywhere within the iThemes Security plugin I’m told I don’t have sufficient permissions, and if I try going anywhere else on the main menu all my plugins are gone. I’m afraid if I sign out I will never get back in. Help!
Also – is the check-box on the Ban Users supposed to stay checked? Every time I check it and then save changes, it’s unchecked in the refreshed window. It should be: checked for “On” and un-checked for “Off”, right? It just seems to want to stay unchecked as soon as you’ve saved the changes. And This is on my older site since the last iThemes Security update, and the same on my new site that seems to’ve been broken when I did advanced tab stuff.
Please help?
