• My website, http://www.pyehouse.com, has been newly made over with WordPress. I’ve really enjoyed exercising it’s features. This reboot coincided with the decision to really work on making a site folks would want to visit. I’ve been updating regularly for a few weeks now and decided to try a StumbleUpon campaign with a small cap, just to see what would happen. Mind you, I don’t use ads and don’t sell anything. Day 1 results showed a single rating, thumbs down. I did switch themes midday and had to fix some layout issues as a result so that might have been a factor. In any event I would truly appreciate any feedback, positive or negative, on my little slice of the blogosphere, including content, layout, theme selection, etc.

    Regards,
    Lynn

  • It is a clean theme, simple and loads quickly. I like the way the date is displayed, on a blog like yours which is updated freequently, it is a good idea. Here are a few things you can improve on,

    1) Get a logo, a brandable logo is the face of your blog, it will help you to make a brand out of your blog.

    2) Use feedburner for feeds,

    3) Good to see the twitter and facebook page, social media always helps. Also, Nice to see voting buttons places at the end of your articles.

    4) Add a title, your current title does not says much about your blog.

overall, you got a good blog, keep it updated,

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated. I’ll have to kick around a bit for a logo idea. The site is pretty tightly tied to… me… I don’t think I’ve got the mug for a good logo. 😉

I’ve switched my feed links to feedburner and altered my title a bit.

In any case, thanks again. 🙂

Maybe a pic of a cool computer with your site name for the logo.
