new relic Backtrace

    Hello Pierre,
    In new relic event log integration, i can see that Backtrace option is grayed out, while for example on Datadog and others, it is available.
    any reason why it works like that? should i configure something for it to be available?
    Thank you again for the great support and plugin..I’m amazed everyday how easy it’s not integrate and try new loggers that i never tried before.

    Hello @freshuk !

    You’re right, for now DecaLog is unable to send full backtrace to NewRelic. There’s 2 main reasons:
    – full payload to newrelic must not exceed 1Mb (and backtraces may be heavy);
    – there’s no specific field for backtrace in newrelic api, so it would be a “standard” field which implies many issues in term of message indexing.

    As soon as these limitations are removed, I will make it available in DecaLog 😉
