    Hello.

I am working with Post Types Unlimited on a site I’m working on. I’ve been able to create a new post type, with some custom fields. I’ve called the post type Cars as my client will be adding new classic cars.

Everything is great, except that when I try to create a new page with an element from Visual Composer, say for example Post Grid, when I query by category, I get 0 posts, despite the fact that the category I’ve entered has posts. It shows 0 results.

I don’t really fully understand the taxonomies part maybe?

Thanks a lot for the great plugin and thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

    Hi Todd,

Sorry for the delayed response. It’s always best to ask questions either on the Total theme comments or open a ticket for help with the Total theme since this forum is just for reporting plugin bugs for non-buyers.

So if you created a Post type named “Cars” then added a new taxonomy for the post type named “Categories” which you are using to organize the cars you should be able to display items only from specific categories in the Post Grid or Total Post Types Grid module. If it’s not returning any posts it’s possible there is just a slight issue in the setup or in the query itself.

I made a video test so you can see: https://cl.ly/52f505 – so there doesn’t appear to be an issue with displaying items from a specific category.

Now if you are having issues, please open a ticket with your site logins so we can log in and have a look at how things are setup: https://wpexplorer-themes.com/support/ – this way we can better assist you.
