• When I go to add a new post or to check a draft I get the opotion for html or visual. On another blog I have the visual shows a variety of options like bold, ext… on this blog I get no choices under the visual category. Is there a place to turn this on?

    thanks

  • hover over the icons – one is for “kitchen sink” – click on that

The compose area where we write new posts does not have any of the WYSIWYG features. Whether in “visual” or HTML it just shows markup language. Someone needs to address this issue because I need to post a new story on my blog ASAP. Even if a plugin that works with the compose area isn’t updated yet, this section should work on its own with no enhancements. As the previous comment said, there is nothing there to work with.

It’s on your end. Your theme, your plug-ins, or your install of WordPress somehow got messed up and you need to re-upload 2.8.

I have 4 seperate blogs of my own, and have admin access to 5 more.
I updated all 9 with WP 2.8, and they all run great.
All have plenty of plug-ins and some have complex themes.
I didn’t have one single problem with all 9 when I upgraded to 2.8.
Well, I take that back, I forgot to rename the default theme after I edited it on one blog, and it go overwritten back to the basic default theme, so I had to re-do it. My mistake completely.

Just for the record, I did reload 2.8 before ever starting this discussion.

I believe its an issue with Firefox browser. At least it was for me. More precisely, an add-on was causing a conflict for me. It was at my end, per usual. 🙂
